About Us
Wes Edwards Consulting was established in 2002 by Wes Edwards and is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
We have a particular interest in best-practice urban design and designing liveable streets - residential streets that promote low traffic speeds and that are nice to live in; however we also offer a wide range of services.
Being small allows us to give every project attention, and you know you are always going to get a well-experienced person dealing with every aspect of your project. Although we are small we are well-equipped with reference materials and up-to-date software including intersection computer modelling tools, the best vehicle swept-path simulation software and of course CAD.
The practice is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of New Zealand, a founding signatory to the New Zealand Urban Design Protocol, and a member of the Trips Database Bureau.
About Wes Edwards
He has a Bachelor of Engineering, a New Zealand Certificate of Engineering and is a Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand (IPENZ). Wes became a registered engineer in 1998 until the repeal of the Engineers Registration Act.
Wes acts as Urban Design Champion of the Transportation Group of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand, and a member of the New Zealand Urban Design Forum.
