Cyclists

Cycling is attracting increased attention and priority as a valuable transport mode and the challenges for providing safe movement for cyclists on busy streets are many.

We can provide design services for cycling facilities including cycle lanes, dedicated or shared cycle paths, and cycle crossing points and special features.

We were engaged to review the masterplan for this area that proposes 2000 new houses, a town centre, and a tertiary campus in Taupo. 

We advised on subdivision layout, street and intersection design, and connections to the road network.  The masterplan makes extensive use of cycle paths and promotes numerous pedestrian-friendly aspects.
