Urban Design

Urban Design involves the design of our town and cities.  The movement of people is a key component of urban living and the integration of transport into the design of cities, streets, and places is a key part of the urban design process - that's where we come in.  As experts in traffic engineering with a wide experience in urban design we collaborate with other experts to develop integrated solutions.

Urban Master-Planning is the process of developing a blue-print for the development of an area.  We help fit the transport environment (streets, traffic volumes, public transport, parking, walking, and cycling) together with the goals and aspirations for the intended land-use to ensure the best overall outcome.

The process can include feasibility studies, structure planning, plan changes, and subdivision design.  We have considerable experience in Urban Masterplanning as part of a multi-disciplinary design team, and most commonly for landowners in greenfields areas.

We have helped to develop master plans for residential neighbourhoods, town and neighbourhood centres, retirement villages, office parks, and industrial areas, from small villages through to neighbourhoods of up to 2000 homes.  Please review our projects in the areas of Urban Design, Structure Planning, Subdivisions, Street Design, and Master-Planning.
